nON nORMAL sPIRIT mACHINE is an art book of collage works I created that have small character sketches that reveal themselves in just a couple sentences. The purpose of the work was to point to a sense of overcoming one’s limits… a lifelong struggle for many, including myself. While this is a constant theme in my work and personal life, the particular series of art pieces that make up the book were born of the recognition that I was falling into depression during the height of COVID. This art was born out of a sense of personal responsibility to myself to retain mental health stability. And in a small way, it is a love letter of hope to anyone else that may need to be reminded every once in a while that all is not lost. Friends... I love you.
